San Antonio Trick-or-Treat Times 2026: Halloween Date, Hours and What to Know

San Antonio, TX — Families across San Antonio are beginning to make plans for Halloween 2026, with trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treat events, Halloween festivals and family attractions scheduled throughout October. Halloween falls on Saturday, October 31, 2026, but families looking for one official citywide trick-or-treating time should know that schedules can vary by community and individual event.

As of early October, there is no single citywide trick-or-treating schedule clearly published for all San Antonio neighborhoods. Instead, families can find organized trick-or-treat opportunities at local attractions, community events and family destinations.

When Is Halloween in San Antonio in 2026?

Halloween will be celebrated on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Because Halloween falls on a Saturday, families have the opportunity to attend daytime Halloween events before participating in evening neighborhood celebrations.

Parents should check with their neighborhood, homeowners association, school, church or local community organization for any specific trick-or-treating hours.

What Time Is Trick-or-Treating in San Antonio?

There is currently no single official trick-or-treating time that applies to every San Antonio neighborhood.

That means parents should not assume that all children will begin or finish trick-or-treating at the same time. Organized Halloween events have their own schedules, while individual neighborhoods may announce separate hours closer to October 31.

Families should also keep checking local announcements as Halloween approaches because trick-or-treat schedules can be released or updated during October.

If you prefer a guaranteed time and organized activities, attractions such as The DoSeum, San Antonio Zoo and other local Halloween events already have published schedules.
