Phoenix Trick-or-Treat Times 2026: Halloween Date, Hours and What Parents Should Know

Phoenix, AZ — Halloween is just weeks away, and families across Phoenix are beginning to plan trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treat events and other Halloween activities for October 31, 2026. This year, Halloween falls on a Saturday, giving families plenty of opportunities to celebrate throughout the weekend.

One important thing parents should know is that Phoenix does not have one universal citywide trick-or-treating time. Traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating can vary, while organized events hosted by Phoenix Parks and Recreation have their own specific dates and hours.

When Is Halloween in Phoenix in 2026?

Halloween will be celebrated on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Families planning to go door-to-door should check their neighborhood for any local announcements or community schedules. For organized Halloween activities, Phoenix Parks and Recreation has already announced several events taking place throughout October.

What Time Is Trick-or-Treating in Phoenix?

There is no single official trick-or-treating start and end time for the entire city of Phoenix.

Instead, families can choose from neighborhood celebrations and organized events that have specific schedules. This is especially useful for parents with younger children who may prefer a structured trick-or-treating experience.

The City of Phoenix has announced a number of Halloween and fall events, including trunk-or-treat programs, costume activities and family celebrations.

Phoenix Trick-or-Treat and Halloween Events in October

Several Phoenix events are scheduled before Halloween night.

The Festival of Frights at South Mountain Activity Complex will take place on Friday, October 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The free event includes trunk-or-treating, games, food, music, a trick-or-treat trail and a pumpkin patch.

Also on October 16, the Halloween Monster Bash at Desert West Park will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Saturday, October 17, families can choose from several events. Slopetacular Trunk or Treat at Sunnyslope Community Center is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., while Scaryvale at Maryvale runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and includes Trunk or Treat, a haunted house and a costume contest. Another option is the Longview Neighborhood Recreation Center Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Children can trick-or-treat from decorated vehicles while taking part in games and other Halloween activities.

Phoenix Parks and Recreation has also listed Itty Bitty Boo Bash at South Mountain Community Center among its October 31 Halloween activities.

What Phoenix Families Should Know

Parents should avoid assuming that one set of Phoenix trick-or-treat times applies to every neighborhood. Traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating may follow local customs, while organized events have individually announced schedules.

For families planning Halloween night, the safest approach is to check the latest neighborhood information and confirm event details before leaving home. With Halloween falling on a Saturday, Phoenix families can also combine daytime Halloween activities with evening neighborhood trick-or-treating for a full day of Halloween fun.
