HOUSTON — Country music fans are in for a treat this summer as Lee Brice is set to headline Houston’s highly anticipated Freedom Over Texas Fourth of July celebration. The annual event, a favorite for families across the city, promises a night of music, entertainment, and a grand fireworks display.

Houston Mayor John Whitmire announced the details on Thursday, highlighting an exciting entertainment lineup for 2025.

Joining Brice on stage will be Grammy-winning country artist Ashley McBryde, along with performances by DJ London, Jonah Miles, 80% 80’s, and a Selena Tribute Band, bringing a variety of music styles to the celebration.

“We are thrilled to welcome some of the biggest country music entertainers to Houston,” said Mayor Whitmire. “Lee Brice and Ashley McBryde will headline this year’s Freedom Over Texas as we celebrate our nation’s birthday and host a communitywide celebration. This event is a cherished tradition for many Houston families, and 2025 brings new features that will make it more exciting, accessible, and unforgettable. It will have something for everyone, and I encourage Houstonians to join us.”

The evening will conclude with a Texas-sized fireworks show, lighting up the Houston skyline in honor of Independence Day.
