As summer arrives and the Fourth of July approaches, Boise and communities across Southern Idaho are gearing up to celebrate America’s birthday with parades, fireworks, festivals, and family-friendly events. Whether you enjoy live music, food trucks, or dazzling fireworks displays, there’s something for everyone happening in and around Boise and the Treasure Valley.
Here’s a roundup of some of the biggest and most exciting Independence Day events across Southern Idaho this year.
Boise Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration
Ann Morrison Park, Boise
- Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m., fireworks at 10:15 p.m.
- The city’s signature fireworks display returns to Ann Morrison Park. The park will be closed to vehicles all day, but visitors can walk or bike into the park.
- Food and drink vendors will be on-site, with beer and wine available for those 21 and older.
- Attendees can enjoy the interactive fountain and scenic views before the fireworks show.
- Drones, pets, and personal fireworks are not permitted. After the show, Americana Blvd. will be closed for 45 minutes to allow pedestrians to exit safely.
Idaho 4th of July Parade Live from Boise
Downtown Boise
- Pancake breakfast at 7:00 a.m. at Cecil D. Andrus Park
- Parade begins at 10:00 a.m.
- After a three-year break, the parade returns with the theme “United We Stand.”
- Marching bands, businesses, organizations, and families will participate.
- Corporate parade entries will compete for cash prizes benefiting local charities.
Meridian Independence Day Celebration
Storey Park, Meridian
- 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Food trucks, live music by Smooth Ave., and family fun at Storey Park.
- Fireworks launched from the east side of Meridian Speedway at approximately 10:20 p.m.
- Personal fireworks and glass containers are prohibited.
- The Bark Park will close half an hour before dark for safety.
Indian Creek Fun on the 4th
Indian Creek Plaza, Caldwell
- 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Family-friendly activities, including splash pads, dunk tanks, and foam pit fun.
- Food vendors and kid-focused activities available throughout the evening.
Lakeside Liberty Fest
McCall, Idaho
- July 4–7, daily activities begin at 10:00 a.m.
- Inflatable bounce houses, zipline rides, food vendors, and more.
- July 4: Pilates in the Park at 9:00 a.m., volleyball tournament, fireworks at dusk.
- July 5: Outdoor Movie by the Lake showing “Mean Girls 2024.”
4th of July Music Festival at Brundage
Brundage Mountain, McCall
- Free live music in the alpine amphitheater from 10:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Performances by Spencer Batt, Corn Mash, and Lucky Tongue.
- Food, drinks, and a 10k/5k race in the morning to kick off the festivities.
Kuna 4th of July Celebration
Kuna Greenbelt, Kuna
- 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Mini food truck rally, children’s activities, and live entertainment by Gary Tackett Sr.
- Fireworks display presented by Western Display Fireworks.
Marsing 3rd of July Fireworks Celebration
Island Park, Marsing
- 5:00 p.m. to midnight on July 3
- Kick off the holiday with BBQ from Marsing Lions, community fun, and fireworks over the Snake River.
Garden Valley Fourth of July Celebration
Weilmunster Park, Garden Valley
- Flag-raising ceremony at 8:00 a.m., followed by a full day of family events.
- Golf tournament, silent auction, children’s games, Duck Race, and Soap Box Derby.
- Dry and Wet Parade begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by fireworks 30 minutes after dusk.
Star Hometown Celebration
Star, Idaho
- Begins at 9:00 a.m.
- Fun run, parade, pie contest, auction, and kids’ zone throughout the day.
Melba “Olde Tyme” 4th of July
Melba, Idaho
- Fun Run in the morning, parade at 10:30 a.m.
- Family-friendly games, food vendors, and a grand fireworks show at dusk.
- Volunteer-run and funded by community donations.
