Thanksgiving Tragedy: Two Killed in Head-On Crash Near Meyers. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a head-on collision south of Meyers on Thanksgiving claimed two lives.
According to authorities, at approximately 5:35 p.m. on November 28, a silver 2015 Chevrolet Traverse heading east near US-50 east of Audrain Way collided head-on with a green 2001 Toyota Sequoia traveling west. The Toyota and Chevrolet struck each other in the eastbound lane for unclear reasons.
Both the passenger in the Toyota, a 50-year-old lady from Fremont, California, and the driver of the Chevrolet, an 84-year-old man from Wellington, perished in the collision.
Four additional individuals were hurt and transported to the hospital.
The deceased’s identities have not been made public.
