'She Shattered My Family' Woman Kills Husband Before Ending Her Own Life in Hallandale Beach

In a high-rise in Hallandale Beach, a 27-year-old woman shot and murdered her 34-year-old husband on Wednesday before killing herself, according to authorities on Friday.

Albana Krasniqi posted on Facebook that on the eve of Thanksgiving, her sister-in-law had shot her younger brother five times in the chest.

The Hallandale Beach Police Department reports that Sabrina Dzaferovic, also known as Sabrina Krasniqi, and her husband Pajtim Krasniqi were the two deceased.

“She betrayed him, his love, and his trust. She shattered my family. My siblings and I will never be the same. I’m terrified my mother will not ever recover” the heartbroken woman wrote on Thursday.

Apartment 4508, located at 1830 South Ocean Drive, was the scene of the incident. Five brief gunshots, a brief pause, and a sixth gunshot were captured by a Shot Spotter.

A heart-shaped box including roses and a teddy bear was visible in aerial photos of the apartment overlooking the beach. A body on the balcony was covered with a yellow sheet.

Both New York and Peja, Kosovo, where the murder-suicide also made headlines in Albanian, are connected to the Krasniqi family.

Pajtim Krasniqi’s friend and neighbor, who requested anonymity, said:

“Every time I saw them or they went in the pool, everything seemed like they were great I met him here in the community. Great individual. It was very devastating, what happened. Everybody’s just in shock.”
