Ottolini noted that Williams and the other rookies are still present for a development program now that OTAs are completed.

Since the days of Julian Edelman, they haven’t had a receiver with 1,000 yards. Last season, none of their receivers gained more than 700 yards.
In addition to selecting Williams in the offseason, New England has invested heavily in the receiving room by signing Mack Hollins and Stefon Diggs.
Last season, the Patriots’ wide receiver position was a weakness. One young player had a clever way of summarizing the mindset he brings to the team as they work to get better at the position.
