The Sacramento region is gearing up for a full slate of Independence Day celebrations, offering everything from baseball games and beer gardens to carnival rides and live music. Whether you’re looking for a free community gathering or a VIP experience, there are plenty of options to enjoy fireworks and festivities this Fourth of July.

Here’s where you can catch fireworks and events in and around Sacramento this week:

  • Postgame Fireworks at Sutter Health Park
    Cheer on the Athletics as they face off against the San Francisco Giants, then stay for the “Patriotic Postgame Fireworks” presented by Chevrolet. Concessions, team merchandise, and alcohol for guests 21 and over will be available for purchase.
    When: Friday, July 4 at 7 p.m.
    Where: Sutter Health Park, 400 Ballpark Drive, West Sacramento
    Price: $177 to $293 per ticket
  • Rancho Cordova Fourth of July Celebration
    Rancho Cordova’s two-day celebration features more than 20 food trucks, carnival rides, live music, and fireworks both nights.
    When: Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4, fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
    Where: Hagan Community Park, 2197 Chase Drive, Rancho Cordova

    One of Sacramento’s most popular traditions returns with beer, food, live music, a silent disco, and a watch party for the A’s vs. Giants game and fireworks.

    Just outside Sacramento, Vacaville is hosting a free, family-friendly Fourth of July event with a concert, food trucks, and fireworks. Local band Glory Dayz will perform classic rock, pop, and doo-wop. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for comfortable seating.
