Charleston, South Carolina — Charleston is preparing for one of the most historic Independence Day celebrations in the country as the city plays a central role in America’s 250th Anniversary.
Hosted by SC250, the Waterfront Independence Day Celebration transforms Charleston Harbor into the centerpiece of a massive patriotic event featuring live entertainment, military tributes, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks display celebrating the nation’s Semiquincentennial.

Visitors can purchase tickets for the Patriots Point 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular aboard the historic USS Yorktown, featuring live music, family activities, and more than 20 minutes of fireworks over Charleston Harbor from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Charleston Harbor Cruises
Several harbor cruises, including special Independence Day dinner cruises, offer front-row views of the fireworks from the water. These cruises typically sell out well before the holiday.
