Baltimore, Maryland — Baltimore is getting ready for a major July 4, 2026 celebration at the Inner Harbor, where the city’s official Independence Day fireworks show will once again light up the waterfront.
Visit Baltimore says there will be fireworks in the Inner Harbor this year, while the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts lists a full day of programming across the waterfront from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Baltimore July 4 Schedule
The official event page from the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts says the city’s July 4 celebration runs from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Promenade, spanning from Harborplace to Rash Field. The schedule includes the American Visionary Art Museum’s Pet Parade, the Maryland Science Center, beach volleyball, and the evening’s main concert and fireworks.
The headline event is the BSO’s Star-Spangled Celebration concert at 8:00 p.m. at Rash Field Park, followed by a 15-minute fireworks display by Pyrotecnico at 9:30 p.m. The city says the fireworks will be visible from the Inner Harbor promenade and surrounding areas.
Best Places to Watch the Fireworks
The biggest and safest public viewing area is the Inner Harbor promenade. Visit Baltimore says the fireworks will be in the Inner Harbor again this year, and the official BOPA event page says the display will be visible from the promenade and nearby areas.
For people who want a more controlled and ticketed viewing experience, the Baltimore Museum of Industry is opening its waterfront lot for guests. That event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with live music, face painting, and fireworks at 9:00 p.m..
Parking and Transit
Baltimore’s travel guide says traffic will likely be restricted on July 4, but there are still several lots along the Inner Harbor where visitors can park, including 204 E. Lombard St., 121 Light St., 150 S. Calvert St., and 151 South St. The same guide says the Inner Harbor is accessible by bus, metro, Light Rail, and the free Charm City Circulator.
Visit Baltimore also says useful Light Rail stops include Camden Station, Stadium (Federal Hill), and the Convention Center, and Metro riders can get off at Charles Center and walk toward the waterfront.
More July 4 Activities in Baltimore
Baltimore’s July 4 lineup is more than just fireworks. The BOPA event page includes the American Visionary Art Museum’s Pet Parade starting at 9:00 a.m., the Maryland Science Center open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the 4th of July Baltimore Beach Volleyball Tournament at Rash Field.
The city is also tying the celebration to the broader America 250 commemoration, which gives the holiday extra significance in 2026. A separate America 250 event listing identifies the Baltimore Inner Harbor 4th of July Fireworks as a major Independence Day show on July 4, 2026 at 9:30 p.m.

Why Baltimore Stands Out in 2026
Baltimore’s waterfront setting makes its July 4 celebration one of the city’s most scenic events of the year. The combination of the Inner Harbor, live concert programming, family activities, and a fireworks finale gives visitors a full holiday experience downtown.
If you are planning to go, the smart move is to arrive early, choose your viewing spot in advance, and use transit if possible. The harbor area is expected to be busy, and the city is already warning that traffic restrictions will be in place.
Baltimore’s July 4, 2026 fireworks night is shaping up to be one of the city’s biggest summer events.
