Augusta, Georgia — Augusta is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with one of the CSRA’s biggest Independence Day events as Augusta and North Augusta once again team up for a community-wide riverfront celebration. The free event features live entertainment, family activities, local food vendors, and a spectacular fireworks show over the Savannah River that attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Officials recommend the riverfront between Fifth Street and Ninth Street as one of the premier viewing locations for the fireworks display.
North Augusta Riverfront
Visitors can also enjoy outstanding views from the South Carolina side of the river, where the joint celebration extends into North Augusta.

- Use public parking at The Depot

- Expect portions of the Riverwalk to close before the event
- Allow extra time leaving after the fireworks conclude
