2 in Jail for Molesting Teen Boys; Lured Juveniles through Social Media in Montgomery County

Authorities detained two males accused of luring minors to the social media app Snapchat and sexually assaulting them in Montgomery County earlier this month.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, on June 16, deputies responded to an allegation of two 15-year-old youths who were reportedly lured to the New Caney ISD football stadium parking lot by someone they met on Snapchat. According to investigators, when the youngsters arrived, the suspects pulled out a weapon and sexually attacked them inside a vehicle.

Following the incident, the victims promptly informed their parents, who notified police enforcement. The MCSO Special Victims Unit promptly initiated an investigation. Detectives identified the suspects as Darville Reginald Allen, 19, and Abdul Saleem, 20, both of Kingwood. Warrants were issued for their arrest.

On June 30, Allen was apprehended by the Sheriff’s Office SWAT squad and members of the US Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force. Saleem was also apprehended without incident.

Both males were brought into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with aggravated sexual assault on a kid. Allen’s bond is set at $150,000, while Saleem’s is $100,000.

The MCSO urges parents to thoroughly monitor their children’s online behavior and report any suspicious communications to law enforcement promptly.
