According to a report by Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss is expected to make a full-time comeback to ESPN this fall.

Moss took some time off last season to concentrate on his recuperation after receiving a cancer diagnosis in December of previous year. When the season starts, he should be back on Sunday NFL Countdown. Last February, he appeared on television during Super Bowl Sunday.

“Knowing that Randy will resume his full Sunday NFL Countdown schedule, starting in Week 1, has been the highlight of the offseason,” ESPN told The Athletic in a statement. “Randy’s return on Super Bowl Sunday was an emotional lift not just for our team but for the entire football community.”

Last summer, Moss shared the news on Instagram, stating that a malignant growth had been discovered in his bile duct.

Moss underwent a Whipple procedure, which removes the cancer by removing the gallbladder, the bile duct, the head of the pancreas, and a portion of the small intestine, according to the Associated Press.

Moss, 48, has spent ten years with ESPN. He works for the network as an analyst. The article claims that Moss is recovering sufficiently to take part in the Sunday broadcasts.

Moss, one of the NFL’s most successful receivers, was admitted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018. During his time with the Patriots in 2007, he set the single-season record for the most touchdown catches (23) with 23.Moss was traded four games into his fourth season with the Patriots after spending three complete seasons with them.

Moss had two spells with the Minnesota Vikings, but he spent the majority of his career with them. After playing for the 49ers for one season, he ended his playing career in 2012.

Moss ranks second in touchdown receptions, 17th in total catches, and fourth in receiving yards on the NFL all-time record.
