Popular Burger Chain coming to Metro Detroit New Location finally Revealed

A beloved Michigan burger chain with a century of history is expanding to Metro Detroit. Halo Burger, a popular stop for drivers heading north from Metro Detroit through Mid-Michigan, is opening a new location in Clinton Township.

According to Google Maps, the newest Halo Burger will be located at 41554 Garfield Road, between Canal and 18 Mile roads. The chain teased the opening in a recent Facebook post to a Clinton Township community group, asking, “Clinton Twp, are you ready?” The new location is expected to open by the end of June.

The Clinton Township restaurant will be the sixth Halo Burger location in Michigan, joining four others in the Flint area and one in Birch Run. At its peak, the chain operated over a dozen restaurants, including several in Oakland County.

Founded in 1923, Halo Burger is known for its char-grilled patties served with fresh-cut tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. The menu proudly highlights Michigan favorites, including Flint-style coney dogs made with Koegel hot dogs, Vernors soda, and Wisconsin cheese curds.

The company recently merged with Cops and Doughnuts, a popular Michigan doughnut shop based in Clare, and is now headquartered in Burton.

With deep roots in the state and a loyal following, the Clinton Township opening marks the latest chapter for the iconic Michigan burger chain.
