As the Fourth of July approaches, communities across the Seattle area are preparing for a packed holiday weekend filled with fireworks, festivals, and family fun. With this year’s Independence Day falling on a Friday and record-breaking travel expected, officials are urging residents to plan ahead.
From classic fireworks shows to modern drone displays, here’s where you can celebrate America’s birthday around the Puget Sound region in 2025:
Seattle: Seafair 4th of July
The biggest celebration in the city returns with fireworks over Lake Union, visible from both Gas Works Park and Lake Union Park. Expect live music, food vendors, games, and a vibrant atmosphere.
Fireworks: Around 10:15 p.m.
Admission: Free, premium seating available for purchase
Bellevue Family 4th
Downtown Bellevue Park transforms into a family-friendly festival with live music, food, and games. The Eastside’s largest fireworks show begins at 10:05 p.m., synchronized to music by the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Kenmore Fourth of July Fireworks
Log Boom Park hosts an evening of family fun with crafts, games, and fireworks at 10 p.m. Details on vendors and performers are still to come.
Snoqualmie: Red, White, & Boom
Head to Snoqualmie Community Park for an evening of attractions and entertainment, with fireworks kicking off at 9:45 p.m. Admission is free.
Carnation’s 4th of July Celebration
A full day of festivities including a 5K run, grand parade, car show, live music, and fireworks at Remlinger Farms at 9:50 p.m.
Everett’s Thunder on the Bay
Everett’s signature 18-minute fireworks display launches over Port Gardner Bay at 10 p.m., visible from several waterfront parks following a day of parades and festivals.
Marysville 4th of July Celebration
The sixth annual event features fireworks at the south end of Marysville, with food trucks and photo ops at Ebey Waterfront Park.
Mountlake Terrace 3rd of July Celebration
Festivities at Ballinger Park start at 6 p.m., with a fireworks display over Lake Ballinger around 10 p.m. A perfect option for those who want to start celebrating early.
Tacoma Summer Blast
A full day of entertainment along the Ruston Way Waterfront leads up to a 20-minute fireworks show over Commencement Bay at 10 p.m.
Federal Way: Red, White & Blues Festival
Celebration Park hosts a packed schedule of live music, food, and fun, with fireworks beginning at 10:15 p.m.
Kent’s Fourth of July Splash
Celebrate lakeside at Lake Meridian Park with music, food trucks, and fireworks at 10 p.m.
Lacey Fireworks Spectacular
Rainier Vista Community Park continues its 50-year tradition of fireworks at 10 p.m. 3D glasses will be handed out to enhance the viewing experience.
Des Moines 4th of July Drone Show
For an eco-friendly twist, Des Moines Marina will host a stunning drone light show from 5 to 11 p.m.
