ROCHESTER — Communities throughout the Rochester area are gearing up for a weekend packed with Independence Day celebrations, including races, live music, family activities, parades, and fireworks.

Rochester

Downtown Firework Celebration

  • Date: Friday, July 4
  • Fireworks launch at 10 p.m.
  • Duration: 15-20 minutes
  • Viewing: Broad Street Bridge and Court Street Bridge closed to vehicles for pedestrian viewing
  • Street Closures:
    • Court Street (South Avenue to Exchange Boulevard) closes at 8 p.m.
    • Broad Street (South Avenue to Exchange Boulevard) closes at 8 p.m.

Innovative Field Red Wings Game

  • Date: Friday, July 4
  • Game: Red Wings vs. Buffalo Bisons at 6:45 p.m.
  • First 1,000 fans receive a Mini-Flag presented by the Veterans Outreach Center
  • Post-game fireworks presented by ESL

Henrietta

  • Date: Friday, July 4
  • Location: Veterans Memorial Park on Calkins Road
  • 4 p.m.: Activities and live music begin
  • 7:45 p.m.: Atlas Band performance
  • 9:45 p.m.: Fireworks

Fairport

  • Date: Friday, July 4
  • 10 a.m.: Parade begins on Potter Place, heads west on West Church Street, ends at Perinton Park
  • Additional Activities:
    • Firecracker four-mile run/walk
    • Party in the Park

Irondequoit

Thursday, July 3

  • 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.: Craft Show
  • 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.: Food vendors, entertainment, and activities
  • 7 p.m.: Street Dance

Friday, July 4

  • 8 a.m.: 2-mile Fun Run
  • 8:30 a.m.: 10K Run
  • 11 a.m.: Parade from Irondequoit High School to Town Hall
  • 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.: Craft Show continues
  • 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks

Greece

  • Date: Friday, July 4
  • Location: Greece Town Campus, Vince Tofany Boulevard

Schedule:

  • 7 a.m.: 5K Freedom Run
  • 8:15 a.m.: Super Hero Sprint
  • 4 p.m.: Food trucks and family activities begin
  • 4:15 p.m.: Shuttle service begins from Greece Athena High School (ADA buses available from Greece High School)
  • 6 – 6:40 p.m.: August Zadra of the Dennis DeYoung Band
  • 7 – 8:15 p.m.: Jason Scheff + Horns from CHICAGO
  • 8:45 – 10 p.m.: Tommy DeCarlo, former lead singer of BOSTON
  • Around 10 p.m.: Fireworks

Gorham (Lincoln Hill Farms)

  • Date: Friday, July 4
  • Time: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Live music:
    • 5 – 8 p.m.: Roc Star Academy
    • 8 p.m. to close: BB Dang
  • Family activities, festive food, and fireworks included
  • Tickets required

Wednesday, July 2

  • CMAC’s Red, White, and Boom! featuring the RPO at 8 p.m.

Thursday, July 3

  • Central on Main: Plant Bingo and live music by “Old Hippies” from 3:30 – 7 p.m.

Friday, July 4

  • 10 a.m.: Parade from City Hall, through Downtown, ending on Booth Street

Saturday, July 5

  • 6 – 9 p.m.: Live music with “Cool Club and the Lipker Sisters” at Central on Main
  • 9:45 p.m.: Fireworks at Kershaw Park waterfront

  • Annual Ring of Fire
  • Best public viewing at Vitale Park or Long Point Park
