Hawaiian Airlines is suspending nonstop service between Boston and Hawaii
The airline said Thursday that it will begin its first-ever service to Vero Beach, Florida. Beginning on December 11, travelers can arrive at Vero Beach Regional Airport once a week, year-round, from Logan International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
Additionally, JetBlue will resume year-round service to Daytona Beach from Boston and New York on December 4.
In a statement, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships, Dave Jehn, said, “We’re proud to expand our footprint with these new destinations to meet customer demand for more of the Sunshine State.” Florida is still a place where JetBlue’s distinctive blend of low fares and excellent service resonates. We’re thrilled to offer these areas more options and improved service, whether they are Floridians heading north or clients in the Northeast seeking a cozy retreat.
The airline claims that by extending service to Latin America and the Caribbean from Logan Airport this winter, JetBlue is further solidifying its dedication to its Boston focus city.
The airline is increasing service to four popular destinations this winter: St. Thomas; Liberia, Costa Rica; St. Maarten; and Nassau, Bahamas and will offer daily flights to each. During the season, the airline is also adding a second Saturday service to Bridgetown, Barbados, and Grand Cayman.
JetBlue claims that with these additions, it now has the most flights from Boston to Florida and the Caribbean.
In the World’s Best Airline awards earlier this year, AirlineRatings.com ranked JetBlue the best hybrid airline (airlines that combine full-service and low-cost components), and Fodor’s Travel named it one of the top 10 airlines with the best economy class in 2025.
