Driver in High-Speed Chase from NH to Mass. Seriously Hurt After Crash

After crashing during the pursuit, a guy who is suspected of leading police on a cross-state chase from New Hampshire into Massachusetts on Wednesday was brought to the hospital with significant injuries.

While enforcing traffic on I-95 near Greenland in a state police aircraft, members of the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit and other troopers noticed a dark-colored car moving at around 100 miles per hour.

The driver continued to speed south despite an officer on the ground trying to stop the car.

A representative for Massachusetts State Police told that state police in New Hampshire alerted MSP just before noon of a car that was speeding south into Bay State after failing to stop for them.

Within minutes of joining the pursuit on southbound Route 95, an MSP trooper from the Newbury barracks withdrew for safety, according to MSP.

As it attempted to exit the highway, the escaping vehicle then collided at the Exit 76B off-ramp. MSP reported that he was seriously injured but not life-threateningly so.

For criminal charges related to the Massachusetts side of the incident, the driver will be called to court at a later time, according to MSP.
