Chicago, IL – The National Weather Service in Chicago predicts that cold weather will persist into the middle of this week, with temperatures plummeting to 20°F to 28°F tonight. Daytime highs on Tuesday will be 40°F to 46°F, with a combination of rain and snow to move in by Wednesday.
Rain probabilities will increase Wednesday, while temperatures will be cool, from 43°F to 54°F, reports the National Weather Service. Thursday will also be cooler, particularly near Lake Michigan, with highs of between 49°F and 54°F.
This storm system will bring additional precipitation to the area, though temperatures will continue to moderate over the latter part of the week. Highs will be from 49°F to 57°F by Friday, and Saturday will see milder conditions with temperatures in the 52°F to 62°F range.
