According to reports, the Boston Bruins are using a local substance to strengthen their blue line.
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports that Jordan Harris, a defenceman, has joined the Bruins. The contract’s terms have not yet been disclosed.
The 24-year-old left-handed defenseman Harris, who stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, may be Boston’s backup option in the future.
Harris, who is from Haverhill and spent four seasons at Northeastern as the Huskies’ captain in the 2021–22 season, is well acquainted with Boston.

After the Blue Jackets decided not to select Harris, who finished 33 games in Columbus with five points and a goal, he was placed on the free agent market this week.
The quick-footed skater played for the Canadiens for the first three seasons of his career. His best season was with the Habs in 2022–2023 (four goals, 17 points in 65 games).
With Mason Lohrei, Nikita Zadorov, and Hampus Lindholm inked, the Bruins may have their left D corps locked down for the 2024–25 campaign. However, when injuries unavoidably arise, Harris might fill in as Boston’s depth option.
