Police and federal agents raided a Brentwood home Wednesday afternoon, seizing multiple pieces of evidence—including a firetruck possibly linked to a fake emergency services operation involving a man arrested in 2023 for impersonating law enforcement.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes Division, assisted by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), executed a search warrant at a residence on the 100 block of South Rockingham Avenue. Authorities confirmed that one individual was arrested during the operation on charges related to firearms violations, government fraud, and impersonating a first responder.
Among the items impounded was a firetruck registered to the Santa Muerte Fire Department—a fictional emergency response agency that featured prominently in a 2023 case involving Andrew De Boer, a Chino Hills man arrested for conducting fake traffic stops while dressed in a fabricated uniform.
In July 2023, De Boer, then 42, was caught on surveillance video performing a traffic stop while dressed as a law enforcement officer, armed with a firearm, baton, and pepper spray. His vehicle—a white Ford F-350—was outfitted with emergency lights, official-looking decals, and California-exempt plates, all falsely representing the Santa Muerte Fire Department.
A search of De Boer’s home at the time uncovered more disturbing evidence: body armor, firearms, badges, uniforms, and an ID card associated with the non-existent fire department.
While LAPD has not confirmed whether the Brentwood raid is directly connected to De Boer’s case, the presence of a Santa Muerte–branded firetruck raises serious questions about the scope and continuation of the impersonation scheme.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the person arrested in Brentwood or provided further details on what other evidence was seized.
The investigation remains active.
