Boston.com reader F.M. from Amesbury commented that the Blue Man Group’s 1995 Boston show at the Charles Playhouse was simply amazing. She had a good time that night when she first attended the concert.
She remembered the music, the intensity, and the scene at the end where the paper rolls flow out of the back of the cinema and hit you like a wave. This is nearly thirty years later, and I can still clearly recall that night’s events.

It’s simply something you can’t describe. It’s something you must do! According to Haverhill reader Julie N., there isn’t anything else like it.
The comedy, specifically laughing till it hurts, is what Michael B. from Roslindale stated he will miss the most.
My wife was embarrassed by how much I laughed, but it was worth it, he added.

What s your favorite memory from Blue Man Group Boston?
When I saw the Blue Man Group for the first and only time in Boston, I recall that a couple was picked on by the Blue Men for being late to the show. Additionally, I recall flinging toilet paper in a manner akin to a toilet paper fight! It was a lot of fun! After thirty years of laughter and fun, the Blue Man Group’s departure from Boston is quite sad.Revere, Francesco D.,
In middle school, my dad chaperoned a field trip when I watched Blue Man Group. To assist with some logistics, they had us transfer seats during the performance, but it turned out that they were playing a practical joke on us! We were put on TV and informed that we were attempting to depart early. I felt really privileged and had a great time sharing the surprise with my dad.Brookline and Claire
Whoa, thirty years! For almost a year, I played the lead in the Charles Playhouse production of A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline. At that time, we broke every previous attendance record for the theater. Blue Man Group moved in immediately after we closed. I was eager to obtain a ticket! If we were sat up front, we were cautioned not to dress nicely. The performance was amazing! It’s incredible to consider that their performance has been seen by more than 4.5 million people in New England. I recall being astounded by the live band’s musicianship, particularly that of the drummer. The marshmallow tosses were one of the most spectacular theatrical displays! I had wonderful recollections of the water tricks and the adjustable tubes!Sandy M. Salem
Do you know someone who says they would detest going to the theater but has never been there? Get them moving! The expression on a novice’s face throughout a performance and their smile as they leave will be missed. Now go!Haverhill, Julie N.
I can’t decide which I will miss more, the music or the performance. Though not since the start of the pandemic, I have seen them several times in Boston. If I can get tickets, I must attend one final performance.Tewksbury, Wayne
I asked the actors that were in the foyer for their signatures after the show. Rather, they scribbled their lips on my software. So Blue Man, and so clever!Brookline, Chris S.
