The Celtics will start the 2025–26 NBA season with the longest active postseason streak.
The club headed by Jeff Green, Avery Bradley, and Brandon Bass ended 25-57 in 2013–14, the last time they missed the postseason. Boston has won its spot 11 for the past eleven years.
Although many outside observers believe that run might end this season, the Celtics are going about their business as usual as they begin over with a team that looks different.
On Thursday, the NBA made its whole schedule public. Despite their drastically different core, the Celtics have the eighth-most nationally broadcast games this season. Here is what the season looks like for them.

With games against possible Eastern Conference contenders Philadelphia (opening night, Oct. 22), New York, Detroit, and Cleveland in October, Boston’s early-season schedule might be challenging.
With 14 games in 30 days, November is comparatively light, highlighted by matchups against the Magic, Clippers, and Timberwolves.
With home games against the Lakers (Dec. 5), Heat (Dec. 19), and Pacers (Dec. 22), December heats up once more. For the first time since 2015, the Celtics will not play on Christmas, but they will have a pleasant five-game road trip during the season.
Returning games versus the Nuggets, Spurs, and Pacers are scheduled for January 10th (Luke Kornet, Spurs), 26th (Jrue Holiday, Trail Blazers), and 28th (Kristaps Porzingis, Hawks). There may also be reunions on those dates. There are exciting games against the Lakers, Warriors, and Knicks in February.
Will the Celtics qualify for the playoffs now that the schedule is out?The longest ongoing streak of making it (11) is, of course, Boston. In actuality, the NBA has only had 18 streaks of 11 or more postseason appearances.Three of the 18pic are owned by the Celtics.Visit Twitter at 7ZUmKqUuk2.
On March 6 at 7 p.m., Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg is scheduled to play at TD Garden. Later in the month, the Warriors, Timberwolves, and reigning champion Thunder will also visit the city. In April, games against the Heat, Bucks, and Magic mark the end of the regular season.
According to ESPN, the Celtics are tied for the fewest back-to-backs and have the most straightforward schedule on paper. If the run continues, only time will tell.
