The Patriots will be wearing a new uniform in 2025, but we won’t know exactly what it will look like for a while.
According to the team, New England will reveal a Rivalries alternate outfit on August 28. When the Patriots host the Jets on Thursday Night Football in Week 11, they will don the new uniforms.
The Patriots may have hinted at the uniforms’ possible appearance even if they did not reveal them. They shared a video of their white away jersey trudging through the snow on social media to promote that new uniforms will be arriving soon. Given that they will launch the new look on November 13, perhaps it indicates that they will have a winter theme.

Early in the offseason, Drake Mayer hinted that the 2025 New England uniforms might be different. He did, however, imply that the new outfits might be a modernized take on one of the team’s old styles.
During the Green Light podcast with Chris Long, Mayes stated, “I think they’re maybe coming out with a blues, some throwback blues.” Those would be lovely. That would be sick, but the fans want some of those.
Maye was probably talking about the team’s royal blue outfits from the most of the 1990s. The Patriots redesigned their uniforms for the first time in franchise history in 1993, switching from the Pat Patriots to the royal blues.
Additionally, earlier in 2025, the Patriots hinted that the royal blue outfits would be returning for the next season. The Patriots posted a picture of a fan sporting a royal blue Ben Coates jersey as part of their January Happy New Year social media post. They added an image of their white away jersey from when they wore the royal blue outfits in their post wishing fans a happy Valentine’s Day a month later.
One of the first teams to reveal new jerseys as part of the NFL’s Rivals initiative will be New England. In 2025, all four NFC West teams and the other three AFC East teams will also debut their Rivalries uniforms.
In April, the NFL revealed the Rivalries program as a component of their apparel collaboration with Nike.
Some of the greatest football rivalries can be found in the NFL, and today is a momentous day for the league as we share our rivalries with the world, according to NFL Chief Revenue Officer Renie Anderson. In collaboration with Nike, we are using the potential of rivalry games to elevate community pride and fan excitement. We will set out on a trip that ignites our competitive spirit and uncovers the winner within each of us, utilizing player uniforms that have been carefully made and limited-edition fan gear.
The NFL has been more accommodating in allowing teams to wear different styles in previous years, which is why the Rivalries uniforms were added. After only being permitted to wear one helmet design for the most of the 2010s until 2021, teams are now permitted to wear up to three distinct designs. The league approved a move this offseason that allows teams to play up to four games in a season wearing a different uniform.
In 2025, New England will continue to don its Pat Patriots uniforms. When the Patriots face the Steelers in Week 3 and the Giants in Week 13, they will don the red uniforms, the team confirmed earlier this week.
