WRBL says that a man from Louisiana who said he would blow up an Ulta Beauty shop in Alabama has been caught.
Timothy Lincoln, 42, is said to have called someone on the phone outside of an Ulta Beauty store on Saturday morning. He is said to have told the person he was calling, “I’m going to blow this s*** up!” during the call.
Someone from the store who was outside is said to have heard him. Customers and workers inside were told to leave, and the cops were called. From the complaint, it’s not clear if Lincoln ever went into the shop.
He was arrested when the cops arrived at the scene. The Opelika Police Department looked for bombs in the area but didn’t find any.
In his picture, Lincoln looks very interesting. His beard is dyed blue, and his face is full of different colored marks. It looks like the marks are painted or some kind of makeup instead of tattoos. It’s not clear when Lincoln made the marks, and as of this story, the police have not said anything about them.
Ulta Beauty told Lincoln he could never come back to any of its shops.
One of the charges against him is making a terrorist threat in the first degree. Lincoln is being held at the Lee County Detention Center with a $100,000 bond right now. He could spend up to 10 years in jail if he is found guilty.
The second time this year that someone is said to have threatened to blow up a fashion and beauty shop. There was a little more going on than just a frightening phone call, though.
Boston 25 says Williams Rodriguez-Juarez was charged in June with trespassing, delaying arrest, assault with a dangerous weapon, making a bomb or hijack threat, assault and battery on a police officer, strangulation or suffocation, assault, and battery on a police officer, and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
Rodriguez-Juarez is accused of a long list of crimes that happened after he got drunk and yelled at workers near the store’s parking area. Police say he made sexual comments at workers and threatened to steal things before saying he would “blow this place up.”
Rodriguez-Juarez was reportedly fighting with a security guard when the police came, and he told them to arrest the guard. Instead of letting him go, they tried to arrest him. He is said to have fought back and bit a police officer who tried to stop him.
He was caught and put on trial in August.
