The LA County District Attorney said that a man in California has been charged with drugging and sexually assaulting at least nine women at his houses in Hermosa and Redondo Beach.
The assaults were reportedly done by Michael DiGiorgio, 50, between 2019 and 2021. One victim died because of the drugs, according to the LA County DA office.
The LA County DA said in a statement that DiGiorgio did a lot of damage to some of his victims.
“Many of the actions were carried out while the victims were drugged, authorities said, and it’s alleged that DiGiorgio caused great bodily injury to three of his victims,” a statement said.
According to a statement from Dist. Atty. George Gascón, feels very sorry for the victims whose lives have been changed forever and the person who died because of the claimed violent actions of the offender. “Our office is committed to holding him accountable for the pain and trauma he has inflicted.”
Five felonies for sexual penetration by use of a drug, one felonious count for oral copulation by use of a drug, one felonious count for forcible rape, two felonious counts for forcible sexual penetration, one felonious count for raping someone while they are unconscious, and two felonious counts for furnishing a controlled substance are all against DiGiorgio. He is also charged with murder.
In Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center Dept. 30, DiGiorgio was read his plea.
He could spend the rest of his life in jail if he is found guilty.
