What s new in Greater Boston restaurant openings this week
Amelia s Cluck & Smash
One of Amelia’s Taqueria’s eateries close to Northeastern University is getting a new name. Amelia’s Cluck & Smash has discontinued its Tex-Mex cuisine in favor of smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Kayem all-beef hot dogs.

Bakey
With its Israeli-owned bakeries offering babkas in chocolate, almond, raspberry, and seasonal flavors, the Bakey expansion is still sweeping Greater Boston. Inside Faneuil Hall, the fifth site has been opened.

Under restaurateur Allan Rodriguez, the Beacon Hill restaurant location that for many years hosted Barbara Lynch’s well-known fine-dining establishment, No. 9 Park, is undergoing a makeover. The upscale eatery will provide French-European fare, and its drink menu will feature French wines and gin, which it bills as Boston’s first-ever gin palace.

Roger s Fish and Chips
Roger Berkowitz, who previously owned Legal Sea Foods, is now operating Roger’s Fish & Chips, a fast-casual seafood restaurant located inside Logan Airport. According to The Boston Globe, it’s a tiny area inside Terminal A and will serve meals like lobster rolls, chowder, fried clams, and of course, fish & chips.

Mimi’s Ch allah Diner’s chef is experimenting with Laotian-inspired Phaeng & Phiu, which serves delicacies including crab fried rice, grilled pig ribs, and Pad Kee Mao Talay, a seafood drunken noodle dish. While reservations are not yet open for dining at Mimi’s, patrons may still place pre-orders for takeout or in-house at Aeronaut Brewing Co., which is also producing a sour ale with Laotian influences.
August 24 from 5 to 9 p.m. is the event day; limited pre-order takeout is currently available.
