NORTH HAVEN, Conn. –
An East Haven woman who was arrested for allegedly shoplifting in North Haven had multiple outstanding arrest warrants against her, police said.
Police said 40-year-old Patricia Cole is charged with larceny in the sixth degree for allegedly stealing from Target on Universal Drive.
Police said they were called to Target on April 2 on the report of a “known” shoplifter in the store. When police entered the front door, Cole allegedly ran out the back emergency door with a cart of stolen items, where an officer was waiting. She was also charged with thefts from two other businesses in North Haven.
According to authorities, there are also arrest warrants for Cole from Madison, Derby and Newington.
Connecticut State Police apprehended Aileen Johnson, 40, of Guilford, following her involvement in a theft at a North Haven home supply store. Johnson was the driver in a coordinated effort with David Pasquariello, 39, also of Guilford, who entered the store and exited with eight boxes of electrical outlets valued at $1,791.36.
During the arrest, authorities discovered the stolen items in the backseat of Johnson’s vehicle, along with drug paraphernalia in plain view. Further investigation revealed that Pasquariello had multiple active warrants due to probation violations.
Pasquariello has been implicated in over 200 documented thefts across New England, with stolen merchandise exceeding $365,000. Both individuals face charges related to organized retail theft and are scheduled for arraignment at New Haven Superior Court.
