Wisconsin Officials Arrest Three Men Linked to Nationwide Retail Theft Ring

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. – After getting a tip, police in southern Wisconsin caught a group of store thieves who had broken into stores in more than one state.

After getting a tip that they were going to attack the Nike store at the Premium Outlet Mall, the Pleasant Prairie Police Department made the charges public. The people were accused of stealing from a Nike store in Oshkosh, according to the news report.

When police got to the mall, they saw a car that fit the description. They arrested the group and found over $3,000 worth of stolen goods.

After looking into it, the people who were caught were linked to a Peruvian group that has been responsible for retail thefts in several states, taking more than $54,000 worth of goods.

Juan Yancunta-Quiroz, Jose Arteaga-Sanchez, and Darwin Velasquez were named as the people involved.

Three people have been arrested for getting or having stolen property as a part of a crime and for outstanding warrants from out of county.
