Wisconsin Man with Revoked License Arrested for 5th OWI After Pulling into Random Driveway

WYOCENA, Wis. – Someone was arrested for felony OWI in southcentral Wisconsin. He allegedly tried to avoid being pulled over by pulling into a random driveway. This was his fifth offense.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says that around 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, an officer on patrol in the Town of Wyocena saw a car with a violation and tried to stop it.

The driver, who was later identified as 42-year-old Brandon Tomlinson, reportedly tried to avoid having the deputy follow behind him, according to the police. Reports say Tomlinson pulled into a strange driveway, which caused the police to stop the car.

Officials say that when the deputy talked to Tomlinson, he saw many signs that Tomlinson was impaired by drugs or booze.

Tomlinson was arrested on the following charges after an OWI investigation:

Fifth offense of operating while drunk

Operating After Revocation, Related to an OWI

Not putting in an ignition interlock device
