When you think about the American West, what imagery comes to mind? Mountain ranges, the transcontinental railroad, horses and, of course, cowboys.
Celebrate the history and heritage of these icons of ranching, roping and riding during the
National Day of the American Cowboy
this Saturday at the Fort Worth Stockyards. The family event features a parade, fiddle showcase, barbecue eating contest, cowboy poetry and a champion rodeo at Cowtown Coliseum.
