Weekend Worthy: Jam out to some of Fort Worth’s brightest stars at free concert

Exactly what your weekend needs

Cheers to Thursday!

The inaugural Amplify 817 event at Will Rogers Memorial Center was one of my final projects as a fellow for the Fort Worth Report in August 2022. Four local musicians were featured in a free event at the Fort Worth Public Library, which promised to increase the amount of local talent each year, and it has.

This weekend marks the fourth performance of the musical showcase, which will take place at a new location with a new lineup of performers. Read on for additional details about the jam session.

Additionally, the gallery space of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is ablaze with a brand-new show. I’ll be filming some social media stuff this evening at the press preview for the concert. Early next week, keep an eye out for that video on our Instagram page.
