Two Men Shot and Killed in Chicago’s South Suburbs, Police Investigating. MATTESON, Ill. — On Sunday night, police in the south suburban area of Matteson were looking into two murders.
When police arrived at the 4300 block of Oakwood Lane, close to Kostner Avenue, around 2:00 p.m., they found one male who had been shot. After being transported to Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, the man passed away.
Police learned shortly afterward that another man had been wounded and sent to Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest. He also passed away.
Antoine Brown, 20, was named as one of the victims.
The public is not thought to be in danger, according to investigators. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting Matteson police in their investigation.
