Texas Children’s Hospital Spreads Joy with Christmas Tree Farm for Patients. dazzling, multicolored lights. marshmallows and hot chocolate. The mantle was adorned with stockings. presents beneath the tree. The tree itself.
The enchantment of Christmas includes all of these elements. It is associated with a sense of Christmas spirit that many of the kids who visit Texas Children’s Hospital during this time of year might not otherwise experience. This time of year, no one wants those kids to be preoccupied with doctors, injections, and severe medical illnesses.
Texas Children’s Hospital and J & J Flooring Group collaborated on the Helping Hands program, which aims to bring Christmas to hospitalized youngsters, in an effort to promote festive pleasure. Children undergoing treatment at Texas Children’s will once again have the chance to visit an on-site tree farm and choose a unique tree to adorn their hospital room.
“We celebrate with our loved ones during the holidays,” said Crystal Ortiz, volunteer services manager at Texas Children’s Hospital. “We really want to do whatever we can to bring light to our children during a dark moment, as they are currently incapable of doing so.” We are concerned with their mental and emotional well in addition to their bodily health.
Texas Star Dental gave nearly 150 trees to J & J Flooring Group after purchasing them. Its teams took great delight in creating and hand-decorating each tree with a different theme, such as The Grinch, the Houston Astros, or Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.
“Obviously, the children are the driving force behind it, and that’s what we’re passionate about,” stated Bambi Kocian of J & J Flooring Group. But it’s not simply Christmas trees at this event. It has to do with hope. For the youngest patients who experience uncertainty due to their diagnosis, it is essential giving them a lasting feeling of hope for the future. I simply offer up prayers of love and hope for each and every youngster who will be given one of these trees. After December 25th, they ought to have something to look forward to.
Kocian wishes to convey that feeling of solidarity to the pediatric children at Texas Children’s who end up in the hospital during this joyous season. Together, we can accomplish this. We are powerful. “We are a powerful city,” she declared.
On Friday, hospital patients will receive the Christmas trees to adorn and enliven their own rooms.
