The guy who is suspected of assaulting a bride-to-be from Oklahoma when she was in Dallas for a recent bachelorette weekend with her friends and family has been taken into custody by the Dallas police department.
Trevon Woodards, 24, who has a criminal history and has currently served time in jail, has been taken into custody in connection with the serious attack that was committed against Canada Rinaldi, who is 27 years old, according to the police.
On Friday, Woodards was taken into custody by representatives from the Bedford Police Department, as reported by the Dallas Police Department.
During the time that she was assaulted, Rinaldi was participating in a party that lasted for three days before to her wedding in April. When Rinaldi and her aunt were waiting for an Uber near a Deep Ellum nightclub along Good Latimer, they were both punched. Rinaldi’s family and friends were also present at the time.
A little before two o’clock in the morning on Thursday, March 23, the assault took place in the 2600 block of Floyd Street, according to the police.
A video taken from the vehicle driven by the Uber driver shows the suspect fleeing.
“I am aware that I will exhibit scarring. At the beginning of this week, Rinaldi expressed his hope that all will mend to Steve Pickett, a correspondent with CBS News Texas.
A random attack by an unknown person was described by Rinaldi, who was rendered unconscious and sustained major facial injuries as a result of the incident.
To tell people to live in terror is not something I want to do. According to Rinaldi, “I do not believe that we should live in fear.” “I think it was a freak incident.”
According to her, the police assured her that they would locate the person who attacked her.
“I hope he’s taken off the streets and he can pay for what he did because I’m nervous if he gets away with it, I don’t want him to think he can keep on doing this to people,” Rinaldi remarked to reporters.
