South Fulton Homeowner Shoots Thief After Break-In, Chase, and Crash

Police in South Fulton say that the people who broke into someone’s home were chased and then shot.

Police said they were called to Brookwood View just after 4 p.m. on Friday for reports of a break-in and a shooting.

Investigators said the homeowner was home when a group of thieves broke in and began taking things.

The owner got in his car and chased after the thieves after they left.

While the homeowner and the thieves were getting out of their cars after the chase, cops say they started shooting at each other. One of the thieves was hit by a bullet.

Police say the thief who was shot ran to a house that was still being built on Inkberry Drive and asked two workers there if they could wash their hands.

Later, police found the hurt thief hiding in a room of the house that was still being built.

As of now, no one has been arrested in this case, but police say they are looking for the other suspects.

South Fulton police want anyone who knows anything about this to call them.
