Arkansas’s Little Rock – As severe storms with the potential for tornadoes, damaging winds, and huge hail are predicted to persist into Saturday AM, a Tornado Watch has been issued for various locations across the South and Midwest. This is because the storms are expected to continue developing. A number of states, including Arkansas, northwest Louisiana, the Missouri Bootheel, northwest Tennessee, and northeast Texas, are included in the coverage area of the watch.
Until 4:00 AM Central Daylight Time on Saturday, the National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch. The watch is in place from 8:50 PM Central Daylight Time on Friday. A few tornadoes, some of which could be violent, as well as scattered wind gusts reaching up to 70 miles per hour and huge hail, with some stones reaching up to 2 inches in diameter, are the principal dangers that could occur.
