Sacramento Shooting in South Natomas Leaves 2 Injured, Several Detained

SACRAMENTO — Two individuals were injured by gunshots and several others were taken into custody in south Natomas, police reported Tuesday.

The shooting occurred shortly before 5 p.m. along West El Camino, west of Northgate Boulevard, according to Sacramento police.

Both victims of gunshots were stable at the hospital at last check.

Within moments of the shooting, the Sacramento police announced an air unit tracked a suspected suspect vehicle and traced it to the vicinity near Gozo Island Avenue and Natomas Central Drive in north Natomas.

Detectives arrested several individuals who were present at the home. No official arrests were announced, and there were no specifics on whether one of them was the suspected gunman.
