Riverside, CA – A disturbing investigation has led to the arrest of two Riverside parents on multiple child abuse and drug trafficking charges, and the removal of their three children, who are now in foster care, according to the Riverside Police Department.
The investigation began in mid-May after authorities were alerted to the possibility that the children were being physically abused by their parents. At that point, Riverside County Child Protective Services had already taken action, removing the children from the home and placing them in temporary foster care.
As the investigation continued, detectives developed suspicions that the parents were involved in drug trafficking from within the residence.
Search Warrant and Drug Seizure
On July 15, detectives executed a search warrant at the family’s home on Magnolia Avenue, uncovering a significant quantity of illegal narcotics:
- Over 900 grams of suspected heroin
- More than 300 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 155 grams of MDMA (ecstasy)
- Nearly 200 grams of suspected fentanyl pills
- Large sums of cash and drug packaging materials
Police stated that the drugs were found in locations that were easily accessible to the children, raising serious concerns about their exposure to both the manufacturing and distribution of dangerous substances.
Arrests and Charges
The parents were identified as:
- Miguel Jacobo, 31 – Charged with multiple felony counts including drug trafficking, child abuse, and child endangerment
- Alma Dominguez, 34 – Charged with felony child endangerment
Both were booked into jail and are being held without bail.
The Riverside Police Department emphasized that the case remains under active investigation, and additional charges may be filed as evidence is reviewed.
Authorities have not released information on the current condition of the children but confirmed they remain in protective custody.
