Retired Man Finds New Joy Driving a School Bus and Serenading Children with Songs

A 72-year-old man from Missouri is now driving a school bus and singing to the kids as a way to change their way to and from class.

Bill Nagle worked in food sales for 35 years before he retired, according to the news story. There was a new start in his life in 2017 when he chose to become a school bus driver.

Nagel is known as the singing bus driver and is lovingly called “Mr. Bill” by his students. He does let the kids he drives, though, do the singing.

Chris Clark, the director of Highcroft Ridge Elementary, told reporters in the area that Nagel takes the time to learn each student’s name. He also said that Nagel’s bus horn can be heard coming up the street because he is usually on it.

As the story says, when students aren’t singing on the bus, they turn it into a zoo by making animal noises inside. These sounds can be heard walking through neighborhoods.

Nagle has a special way of getting kids from one place to another, and both the kids and their families notice.
