Cittadini’s death
Just after 6 a.m. on Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol reported that detectives had received many complaints regarding a fight between two individuals on I-95 just north of Ives Dairy Road. Cittadini was discovered dead and naked on the side of the road, with clothing discovered close to her body, when FHP arrived on the scene.
Her body was seen in the grass beside the I-95 northbound lanes in graphic video taken at the scene. Pieces of clothing discovered close to Cittadini matched the color of the outfit she was wearing in her Instagram story the night before she was discovered dead, according to information obtained by CBS News Miami.
The investigation was taken over by the homicide detectives from Miami-Dade Police, who were also dispatched to the scene. As the inquiry progressed, police said they were given a handful of vehicle descriptions and were looking to see whether any adjacent traffic cameras captured the incident.
Police claimed on the radio that they thought a black car was involved in a homicide after pursuing it to Miramar later Saturday afternoon. Lorent Junior Pion, a guy, was taken into custody following a collision.
The Miami-Dade Police are investigating whether Pion had anything to do with Cittadini’s passing.
Detectives are urging anyone who knows anything about the event or who happened to be driving by and saw what happened to call the police right away.
