From April 5, 1955, until her passing on August 10, 2025, Freda Mae White, a lively spirit and proud Dallas resident, filled the world with her warmth and humor. Freda was born and raised in the center of Dallas, Texas, and her boundless energy and unwavering passion made a lasting impression on everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
After graduating from Kimball High School in 1973, Freda carried the values she had learned with her and shaped a life that was characterized by her kindness and her outspokenness. She was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and frequently called herself Mrs. Dak in jest. Her love for her family, which was even more intense when it came to her kids and grandkids, was her greatest passion, second only to her love of football.
Freda had a sense of duty that reflected the depth of her character while serving with honor in the U.S. Army. The generosity she shown in all facets of her life was mirrored in her dedication to community service. The moments made beneath her tender gaze will always be treasured by friends and family.
The anchors of Freda’s heart, her children and grandchildren, were her greatest achievements, which she cherished with joy and humility. Her conviction in dreams and the happiness that comes from realizing them is demonstrated by the lives she affected, particularly the joy she experienced when watching the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader squad come to life.
The laughter of her grandkids and the treasured tales told at the dinner table are two ways that Freda Mae White’s soul endures. Let us find comfort in the beautiful tapestry of love, bravery, and joy she leaves behind as we come together to celebrate her memory.
The Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas will host a number of services to honor Freda’s journey. On August 19, 2025, there will be a visitation from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, a funeral service at 11:00 AM, and her last resting place at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:15 PM.
May we continue to honor the essence of her being—a fiercely devoted grandma, ardent fan, veteran, and friend—and may her memory be a gift. Freda Mae White’s spirit will surely endure in every story shared and every touchdown cheered.
