Authorities reported that a crash in Oakland on Sunday afternoon claimed the life of a woman and injured a driver and a kid.
Shortly before 3 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a Range Rover colliding with a tree on westbound Interstate 580 close to Fruitvale Avenue.
According to the CHP, the female motorist was seriously hurt and is still in the hospital. According to officers, a female passenger was transported to the hospital, where she passed away.
Officers anticipate that the kid who was hurt will recover.
Two lanes were blocked for around two hours due to the collision.
According to CHP, it is looking into whether speeding and drunk driving contributed to the collision.
