North Texas Election Day Begins with Cool Temperatures and Clear Skies Ahead

In North Texas, Election Day began with clouds and a few storms.

North Texas was about 15 to 20 degrees cooler on Tuesday morning than on Monday morning at the same time. If you’re going to the polls, bring a light jacket because it will only get to the mid-60s by afternoon.

Light showers will stop here and there in the morning on Tuesday, but bringing an umbrella to the polls is still a good idea.

By Tuesday afternoon, it will be sunny, and the high temperature will be in the 60s. Polls close at 7 p.m., and the sky will be clear. It will be in the low 60s to even the high 50s.

For the end of the week, CBS News Texas First Alert Meteorologists have declared Friday a First Alert Weather Day because of the chance of strong to severe storms.

On Friday, a strong cold front will move into North Texas during the day. It will rain more widely along with it. The exact time is still unknown and needs to be worked out. In the meantime, keep an eye on the weather until Friday because strong to severe storms are expected.

Everyone is looking at Tropical Storm Rafael because it’s still storm season. Michael is moving northwest, and by Wednesday morning, he will be a storm.
