The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released its Winter 2024 Outlook, which predicts big differences in the weather across the U.S.
According to the NWS, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has posted its winter outlook, which gives us a look at what the coming season might bring. The NWS said that rainier-than-normal weather is expected in the Great Lakes region, from the Pacific Northwest to parts of the northern Rockies, and warmer and dry weather is expected along the Gulf Coast.
According to NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, places like Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky are most likely to see more rain. In comparison, the NOAA said that places like Texas and southern New Mexico that are close to the Gulf of Mexico might be drier.
The NWS also said that areas like California, the middle Plains, and the I-95 corridor from Boston to Washington, D.C. have an equal chance of getting below-average, near-average, or above-average amounts of rain this winter.
