Massive Drug and Gun Bust in Texas Linked to Wisconsin Investigation Authorities Seize 50 Kilos of Cocaine and 35 Firearms

The Waukesha County Drug Task Force found a suspected drug dealer in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area who was thought to be sending illegal drugs to southeastern Wisconsin. This was the start of a major drug trafficking case.

A Facebook post from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department says that they have been working with the DEA’s Fort Worth Office on a major investigation that led to a major bust in August 2024.

It was during the raid that a lot of illegal drugs and guns were seized, such as

  • About fifty kilograms of cocaine
  • 1.1 kg of methamphetamine
  • 1.25 kg of heroin
  • 10,000 pills of fentanyl
  • 1,000 pills of MDMA
  • sixteen pounds of pot
  • More than 35 guns

Police say this is a big step forward in making it harder for dangerous drugs to be found in Waukesha County and southeastern Wisconsin.

Together with government agencies such as the DEA, the Waukesha County Drug Task Force continues to fight drug trafficking and the violence that comes with it, which has real effects on the community.

The Sheriff’s office says this operation is a lesson of how important it is for different law enforcement agencies to work together to stop large-scale drug trafficking and keep people safe.
