According to Lone Star State authorities, a Texas man is in jail for ruthlessly murdering his sister and his young niece earlier this week.
According to a press release released by the Houston Police Department on Saturday, 29-year-old Kendrick Rayvon Fisher is charged with capital murder in connection with the fatal stabbings that claimed the lives of the two victims, ages 28 and 2.
The incident happened at a house on Richmond Avenue in the Westchase district of west Houston at some point on Friday.
“Officers were flagged down by a citizen who stated an adult female and child were being held hostage within an apartment,” according to the press release. “The citizen was concerned for their safety and told officers a male (suspect Fisher) was inside the apartment.”
It’s unclear how long the supposed hostage incident lasted. During the case investigation, law enforcement did not indicate that officers ever interacted with a hostage-taker.
Officers instead discovered a somber and unsettling scene.
According to investigators, paramedics from the Houston Fire Department declared the two female victims dead at the site after discovering them with multiple stab wounds.
Allegedly, the defendant was found dozing off on a couch.
“Upon detaining Fisher, officers observed he had injuries consistent with a physical altercation, as well as blood on his clothing,” the press release continues. “Fisher was questioned by HPD homicide detectives and, after consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, he was charged with capital murder and booked into the Harris County Jail.”

There are currently few details available on the killings.
The case’s criminal complaint lacks the law enforcement account of the incident and is a shabby retelling of the claimed offense committed by the defendant.
According to court documents, Fisher is being held on $200,000 in detention.
In a bond conditions order, Fisher was mandated to avoid contact with any victims, refrain from drinking alcohol at all, submit to a drug test, and be monitored by GPS. If the accused murderer can afford pre-trial release, such restrictions and others would be put in place.
