Las Vegas, NV — Fans hoping to see Kelly Clarkson kick off her much-anticipated Las Vegas residency were left disappointed after the singer announced a last-minute postponement just hours before showtime.
The residency, titled “Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency,” was set to begin on July 4 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, with 18 performances scheduled through November 15.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 43-year-old singer revealed that the intense preparations and rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice, forcing her to delay the opening shows to avoid potential long-term damage.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” Clarkson wrote. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”
Clarkson explained that while the show is ready and the musicians and singers are outstanding, vocal health must come first.

“The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all, and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage. So, I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve,” she added.
Despite the disappointment, many fans flooded the comments section with words of support, wishing Clarkson a speedy recovery and expressing excitement for the rescheduled performances.
Clarkson assured fans that the show is worth the wait.
“The show is truly incredible,” she wrote. “The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on.”
As of now, the residency is expected to resume next weekend. Ticket holders are advised to check official channels for updated schedules and refund information.
