Heavy Showers and Thunderstorms Expected to Impact South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida

That energy is making an old front stronger that is far to our west, and it’s also making groups of heavy rain and thunderstorms. In places that have already had too much rain in the past couple of months, these storms are likely to bring heavy rain.

As a result, the National Weather Service has put out flood watches for parts of central and southern Georgia, southwest South Carolina, and far northern Florida. Because these storms are moving slowly, it will be harder to tell what the rain and flooding will be like.

There is also a bad weather part to this, but it will only affect a restricted area. The most likely places to see bad weather will be in central and northern Florida, far from the main group of showers and storms. Individual thunderstorm clouds will be able to bring damaging winds, hail, lightning, and heavy rain to certain areas.
