Hayward Teen Arrested for Fatally Shooting 15-Year-Old Boy

Hayward Teen Arrested for Fatally Shooting 15-Year-Old Boy. A 15-year-old kid was killed in a shooting last summer, and the Hayward Police Department has announced an arrest. On June 26, 2024, officers were called to the 2400 block of Second Street shortly before two in the morning after receiving reports of a potential shooting.

The victim, a 15-year-old Rodeo kid, was found by cops at the scene, unconscious and wounds from weapons. At the scene, he was declared dead.

They also found a second victim, a 13-year-old boy who had been shot. After receiving care at a hospital for non-life-threatening wounds, he was allowed to go.

Detectives found a suspect in the shooting during the course of the inquiry. Detectives arrested the suspect on Wednesday after drafting and carrying out a search warrant close to the 2100 block of Mission Boulevard.

The suspect was a 17-year-old Hayward resident, according to Hayward Police. He was charged with murder and sent to juvenile hall. Because of his age, the police are not yet disclosing his identity.

It is requested that anyone with knowledge on the murder get in touch with Hayward Police.
